We are SONLIT missions.
We have followed the “Heart Tugs” of God for the past 3+ years and now we are LIVE and entering the great unknown of a non-profit ministry as a media missionary. It is finally time to follow our star.
This step into the unknown resembles a modern-day version (to us) of the shepherds who left their flocks (the comfortable businesses we have known) to follow a star to Bethlehem. The first to follow Christ as HIS birth was made known to them in miraculous fashion. Ironically, or not, we had a look at the Bethlehem star this week on December 21. How cool was that! My Heart tugged a bit, realizing that in our little way, we too are embarking on an unknown path to shepherd and share Christ.
Our Purpose: Renew Hearts in Christ
After all, it is all about the Heart, isn’t it?
For those of us who have invited Christ into our Heart, we can lose our way as there is not a clear path for this lifelong spiritual journey. Truth be told, we also get in our own way day after day & year after year. That is where/why SONLIT missions has been called to exist.
First our Heart invites Him in. Then, as our Heart begins to re-shape, shepherds are placed in our lives to help guide/direct/mentor us as we attempt to navigate this CrAzY world. Believe it or not, these folks are called disciples. Ok, too heavy? We will call them mentors.
As a media missionary, SONLIT missions will tell the stories of the continuous Heart change of folks just like you and me… like us. We will do so in an authentic/real manner. Real folks… sharing real stories, real Heart change… what they know to be certain: Christ in them, matters.
We will utilize video and convert teaching materials (from real modern-day disciples) into teaching tools. These tools can be used with your significant other, a friend across the world, a small group, your Sunday school class. We will develop our tools using our SONLIT Coffee Cast (Podcast conversations about a Heart for Christ) and legacy type interviews from mentors that will share their story/Heart.
We will “Go tell it on the Mountain!” As media missionaries, our Mountain is the world! Utilizing our website, social media outlets, and a video channel on YouTube. Should you wish, please follow along this SONLIT missions journey, as it progresses. We promise your Heart will be stirred along the way.
